17 Of The Best New In Pieces At H&M Home

Hello! Keeping it simple on the blog today, because I do tend to get a bit ambitious when I blog and with two kids constantly asking for snacks, it’s hard to write a magnum opus on interiors! The big ideas will have to wait until they go back to school and in any case, sometimes simple is best.
So, without further ado, I like to do regular check-ins of the New In section of H&M Home because you never know when something wonderful will drop, and when it does you’ve got to be fast because the best bits sell out quickly. I hadn’t seen anything to peak my interest for a while to be honest, but yesterday I checked in and helloooo new drop! There are some really great new pieces, and a couple of older pieces that have been sold out for a while and now restocked so I thought I’d pop it all in here for you to look over at your leisure. But don’t wait too long, I’ve learnt that the hard way!
Ps it’s a miracle that this post doesn’t contain a single vase, because I have a healthy addiction to H&M ceramics, but on this occasion, nothing took my fancy.
First up, lighting! H&M are really focusing on lighting at the moment and there’s lots of newness. The pleated table lamp was a sell-out last year and they’ve brought it back. A pair of these would be lovely as bedsides. The Sculptural Ceramic lamp base is an affordable alternative to the Ferm Living Hebe lamp, and the Wood and Brass base, which also comes in a floor lamp version would look very chic paired with a conical shade on top.

There has also been a very nice drop of new rugs. I love the pattern on the Large Jute Blend rug, it’s super versatile and would work well under a dining table. I love that these come large as it can be hard to find decent large rugs on the high street, and you need to scale up to avoid that rug island in your lounge. The Kelim is at a slightly higher price point than you would normally expect from H&M, but with it’s lovely faded neutral tones, it’s very versatile and I think it looks higher end.
Kitchenware - One of the main reasons I am constantly checking H&M Home at the moment is for their kitchenware. I don’t know if you’re aware but I have a new kitchen ;-) which presents a whole new world of styling opportunities. I have treated myself to some higher end pieces, but it’s good to have options and H&M Home delivers stylish pieces at more accessible prices. I have ordered two of these serving dishes because you can never have too many. They haven’t arrived yet but I love the irregular bobble detail around the rim and at £14.99 each they are a steal!
Finally I have some random bits and bobs which I can’t really break down into sections, but they deserve a mention. Both of the mirrors are great buys and I’m sure they will sell out super quickly because mirrors are soooo expensive and these are stylish, at a great price. The shelved one is perfect for maximising storage in a small bathroom, especially if, like me, you’re not keen on the mounted, mirrored wall cabinets. I do not need another blanket but this is a lovely one if you are in the market for a new blanket. Now a shoe rack might seem like a strange inclusion but I often get asked about our shoe rack in the hallway and this is a nice simple storage solution. There is a smaller size, and you could also line a couple up next to each other in an under stairs cupboard for example. The knobs are a nice easy update to your cupboards. I bought the terrazzo version of these last year for our living room cupboards and they are a lovely weight. Finally I thought the stripy bedding would be lovely in a kids room and also comes in yellow and grey. A nice touch is the matching stripy fitted sheet they also have in stock.
That’s my edit for now, and I know there are some bigger furniture pieces coming soon which I’ll share as they drop. Like I said, these things sell out so quickly so I didn’t want to wait.
I’ll be back with more on the blog soon.
Bye for now
