Hey you!

Welcome to my happy place.

My Edit of the Best New Interiors on the High Street

Hello! I’m back to the blog after an unplanned break and I’m delighted to be here tapping away again. I’ve been busy planning and squirrelling away behind the scenes and have lots of new, and hopefully interesting, content to share with you over the coming months. But none of them seemed quite right for my first blog back. Overthinking it? Probably! But there’s nothing new there…I am a Libran through and through.

The sales are pretty much done and dusted now, which means it’s time for some newness. Over the last week or so, I’ve been seeing lots of fab new pieces coming through and instead of sharing them with you in dribs and drabs on Instagram, I thought it would better to share everything here in one place, in an orderly-ish fashion.

I want to say this blog isn’t designed to make you feel like you need to buy alllll the things. Personally I just find it really inspiring looking at all the fresh new pieces coming through. It gets the creative juices flowing and often triggers a bigger idea for a room or scheme. It may be that you already have something similar to what I’ve shared here, languishing in the shed, and now it’s back you can dig it out again. Or you might want to have a go at a DIY project based around something you see here. If you do do that let me know because I’d love to see it!

I’ve tried to include a good spread of items from candles and vases to larger pieces like tables and chairs. I do believe a couple of new accessories can completely change the feel of a room This is by no means an exhaustive list of all the newness, I tried to stick to just High Street stores for this and there are still some brands yet to launch their new collections so I will try to keep this updated as more new pieces are pushed out.

So without further ado, here’s my High Street Interiors Edit.

H&M Home

H&M Home is my first port of call when I’m looking for design and trend-led accessories to update a room. I have so many of their vases and planters and every time I think I can’t possible need another, they bring something else out that I can’t resist. This season I am loving all their neutral palettes, understated curves and wooden textures. Their Classic Marble range is also worth a look. It’s a slightly higher price point but they are beautiful, simple designs that will last you a very long time.

Zara Home

Zara Home underwent a little rebrand last year and it’s now every bit as cool as it’s fashionable big sister. I am yet to purchase anything since the rebrand but I don’t think it will be long before I do. Think neutrals, texture, modern rustic vibes. Their table linen and bed linen ranges are beautiful. This scalloped bedding is dreamy, as is the stripy tablecloth which makes me wish I was sat with a glass of rosé in hand and chewing on a baguette in a French vineyard. On an entirely different note, I love these Methacrylate side tables, which make a subtle nod to the 70’s trend. And the mushroom lamp, which also comes in black, looks way more expensive than it is (it’s £49.99)

West Elm

Mid Century and Hollywood Regency styles have always reigned supreme at West Elm and this season is no different. I absolutely don’t need the pieces in this edit, but I love each and every one of them, especially the chair! Again, there’s a nod to the 70’s with the earthy colour palette and the Lucite and brass mirror and I love the milky finish on these pendant lights. Oh and if you hadn’t clocked already, table lamps with shades are big news this season and this totem style comes in four colours and sizes.

Habitat

Habitat is always one to check in on when it comes to statement pieces. This pendant, which also comes in rattan, is really striking in colour and shape. I like the idea of having a couple hanging at different heights. More scalloped bedding (sorry not sorry!) this time with a coral piping, and it also comes in yellow. I have just bought a pair of these Rose Velvet cushions with linen backing for our bedroom and the colour and quality is gorgeous. They have a few colours and I would definitely recommend them.

John Lewis

The full range hasn’t landed yet but here’s a selection of the best bits so far. The cushions in their House range are amazing value and i love this punchy colourway. The dining chair and mirror are from the same collection as that bed, which kept on selling out last year. Finally the chubby pink armchair is a total steal at £225!

Made.com

If you’ve been dreaming of a curved sofa but all the other options are out of your price range, Made.com have got the answer to your dreams in the form of the Kooper collection. There are lots of colours available but I love this rust (or Nutmeg) shade. There’s also some fab lighting coming through. The brass cabinet I included because it reminded me of our bathroom cabinet and I’m told Custom Fronts are no longer making the brass doors, so this could possibly work as an alternative option?

I’m all shopped out now! Hopefully you’ve found something that inspires you, or takes your fancy amongst all that. I will update as more of the new collections are released from these, and other high street stores.

Thanks for reading and see you soon!
